I was on my way to a crochet class (going to give it a try as a hobby) when a bunch of elderly tourists got on at several of the Harlem stations (thanks a lot gentrification!). Did I miss a memo? Is it Eldery Tourist Day in NYC? There were SO MANY of them!
Most were completely oblivious yet disoriented. Some were accompanied by their adult offspring & grandchildren, who had complete disregard over train etiquette. One particular granddaughter had a young NYer pinned against the center pole. She looked like she was ready to snap on her, but didn’t because she was getting off at the next stop. She literally had to wiggle & squeeze her way out!
